Once again in Chiang Mai 2023

 


    I know that I already once wrote about Chiang Mai when it was my first time travelling there. But this time, the vibe and atmosphere are completely different as It was during winter in Chiang Mai. The temperature is around 15 degree to 25 degree. Compare to Bangkok, It can be considered as heaven for me. 

    During Christmas in 2023. I had a plan with my friends to travel to Phuket. But I still have more days off to use. So, no hesitation, I booked a ticket from Phuket to Chiang Mai. Everyone said I was out of my mind. But i could say it now that I am right to go to Chiang Mai from Phuket. 


    By the time when I was in Chiang Mai. there were lots of festival in Chiang Mai including Christmas market, garden festival, firework festival. First, I went to One nimman to seen Christmas Market. Turned out, It rewind me to the time when I was in Europe. It was packed with people and there were tons of food which is mixing local, and international food. There were some people lining up along fireplace to roast marshmallow.


    Crossing the pedestrian crossing, you will see Think Park and Maya Shopping Center where were having lots of restaurant. Not only that there were concerts from one of my favorite bands in front of Maya Shopping Area. 



    Waking up in the next morning, I was starving to have breakfast. So, I walked to Nimmanhemin road to have local food and found out that It was too early. But I was lucky because one restaurant opens. So, having Sai Uoa and Larb from Chaing Mai was satisfied. 


    Throughout the day, I only had local food which was my attention to get used to local food. As the day went by I took minibus to go to Doi Suthep and surprisingly, I had one of best Khao Soi in Chiang Mai so far. It costs me only 50 THB. On top of the mountain there is Lanna Pagoda but it was under renovation. So, I did not take any phone. 


    The last day in Chiang Mai, I headed to the old town to hop around Cafe and sip coffee. As you can see from the picture, almost the whole town was decorated by Christmas light and 




    As the day goes by, I decided to feel more nature. So, Ang Kaset is my destination to have a cup of coffee while seeing beautiful nature. Moreover, there were several people who took their pets to walk around the area. To come to this place, you may book local taxi by using application. Enjoying coffee while seeing mountains as background can be relaxed and peaceful. 




    Before going back to Bangkok, my friend who is local, took me to Charming Flower Festival to see flower and firework. It was super beautiful and stunning. There were tons of flowers and fireworks in the place.  In the garden, there were rose, sunflower, orchid, tulip and many more. Cozy weather and beautiful light were stunning. 







    After spending 3 days in Chiang Mai, even though It seemed to be short but overall It is unforgettable. I cannot wait to go to Chiang Mai again next time. This trip is cheaper than Phuket. You can see breakdown below

The dream comes to in Norway

     Once a week, there will be appointment with me regarding topic that I usually like to convey to readers. Today, I would like to talk about the dream. Since I was young, I wanted to see snow and play with it but due to lacking of money, therefore, I cannot travel aboard. Once, I saved enough money to go to Europe, I decided that this time is the right time for me. I booked the ticket and flew down to Oslo, capital city of Norway.       Upon arrival to Gardemoen Airport, I saw tons of snow beside the airport. I was so surprised and happy. Finally! I made it to Norway. However, the luck does not come to me always. On that day, It rains like cats and dogs, therefore, snow is not falling down. I counted since day one, and on Friday 22nd November. Phuket, Thailand, for the first time

     Good day! Another year goes by and we get older for one more year. And this year is one of the unforgettable year of writer. I had a chance to go to one of my dream province in Thailand. I have been longing to visit there since I was very young. However, writer has never had a chance to let myself touch down in Phuket, Thailand. To give you for more background regarding Phuket in my perspective. Phuket is one of the stunningly beautiful town in Thailand which locate in South part of Thailand. Phuket is well-known for diversity as It is such as multicultural city and vibrant city.
