Cruising with magical scenery in Bangkok, Thailand
Referring to cruising, people usually tie it up with expensive price. And It is absolutely true that It costs you arms and legs to pay for it. In Thailand, It costs more than minimum daily wage of people in Thailand. Hence, It will be too far from reach for many people. Thankfully, I was wandering around my hometown Bangkok after finishing my class. And I found out that cruising in the river is not as expensive as I thought. It is actually quite cheap in comparison. Therefore, I headed up to Tha Praathit pier to hop on the boat. I planned to go to Asiatique. Even though I am Thai, I have never been to Asiatique before. It will be my first time to go to Asiatique
I have to get on the boat from 1st station to the last station to go to asiatique. I was hesitantly to go there as looking over my head, It seemed like it was going to rain for sure. However, I live in Thailand for the whole of my life so I know that sometimes the weather is unpredictable. Why thinking about the rain, why not going out instead and keep concerns to myself. So, I bought a ticket. It costs me only 30 bath which is less than 1 USD. It is extremely cheap compare to the view that I will be witnessing myself.
Along the way to Asiatique, I have seen many tourist attractions that I know that there are but I have never been there such as church, hotels and etc. By the riverside, you will see combination between skycrapper and old style house which is quite contrast but perfectly match. And from time to time, you will see many restaurants that are decorated by lights and colorful things.
I spent like 2 hours in Asiatique to see many things and eat Taiyaki with hokkaido milk sauce. It was super yummy. After seeing many things in there. I decided to go back home. At first, I was going to use skytrain back home. But once I walked back to the pier. The beautifulness of riverside entice me to use boat instead. It costs me 30 baht again to back to my accommodation. And this time, the view is even getting more beautiful as the light from building shining through the surface of river. It was stunning.
As I have said before that I have lived in Thailand for more than 20 years. And yet many hidden gems in Bangkok that I have never visited from now on. I will regularly check out my hometown and then see beautiful places.
For sure that every weekend from now on, I will go around Bangkok and see the places. and I know that the places that I have never seen must be very beautiful
