Buying food with 300 USD for a month in Bangkok, Thailand

Happy New Year 2023 to all of you. For the upcoming year, you guys may have lots of new years resolution. And yet, as I am Thai who was born in Bangkok, Thailand. I would like to describe about cost of living in Bangkok. This suggestion is based on my personal experience. The living cost might be higher or lower based on style of life in Bangkok.
You may have assumption that living cost in Bangkok might be as expensive as other big cities in the world. However, it is not expensive as you think. Based on the fact that the food here is quite cheap comparatively. You can by full portion of food by just paying 1.45 USD(exchange rate 34.58 THB = 1 USD on 1/1/2023). At this amount, you can get 1noodle or 1 plate of chicken rice and you can get even cheaper if you go to the local restaurant. You may pay only 1 dollar.

Once you had meal, you may be dehydrated. You can easily find beverage in Thailand. There are tons of food stall which sell the beverage. One bottle of water cost you around 0.20 USD in convenience store. and you can get the cold pressed juice by paying around 0.87 USD. I know it is cheap, you might be curious whether they are using the 100% fruits or not. Yes, they use fruit 100%.

Full in your stomach yet? If not, you can grab the local snack or traditional food in food stall. Mostly they sell you around 0.58 USD such as fried banana. And you will get aroun 6 - 7 pieces of fried banana. Totally, you pay around 3 USD per meal. and it can be even cheaper. I will try to use my poor math skills for your purpose. If multiply by 3(3 meals per day) and 30 days per month. You may pay around 270 USD which can be converted to Thai Bath 9,336.60 THB. You can pay higher or lower based on personal preference. If you buy ingredients from the local market or the supermarket and cook it by yourself. You may pay a little bit cheaper. The price suggested by me is calculated based on the food in Hawker center or food stalls. In Thailand, there are plenty of food choices that you can opt based on your preference including, food in food court, food in local market, food in the night market, food in the stalls and etc. Therefore, the price might be fluctuate.
A lot of you may know that Thai food might be spicy. But you can the chef or the waiter to put less chili in your plate if you are not familiar with it, Sometime, the chef don't put chilli in your plate but they will separate to side dish for the condiment.

Last but not least, I would like to recommend my favorite spot for getting the food in I am in central area of Bangkok. I usually go to Terminal 21 located in Asoke area. If you are from Suvarnabhumi Airport. You can take Airport link to Makkasan station and drop off then you can walk to Petchaburi MRT station. You just take the MRT to Sukhumvit station and drop off. Terminal 21 is next to MRT station. and if you come from the Don Muang Airport, you can take orange bus no A2 and drop off at Chatuchack station. and you can take the either MRT station to Sukhumvit station and you can take sky train to Asoke sky train station. Terminal 21 is also next to sky train station.
